Star Pupil
Autumn Term 2020-2021
Imogen is a delight to teach and she settled into class from her very first day.  She is kind, polite and conscientious and always willing to have a go.  Imogen listens and shares her ideas beautifully with her peers.  This makes her a fantastic role model to the rest of our class.  We are especially impressed with Imogen's phonic and letter knowledge.  She uses her sounds really well to write words and sentences with ease.  We can't wait to watch you shine as you progress.  Keep up the good work Imogen!  Well done!

Luca is a lovely, hardworking boy who really deserves to be our star pupil.  He is a kind and friendly boy who always has a lovely bright smile.  Luca is a great listener and always gives his best to everything.  He has a great mental ability in maths and impresses us with how quickly he can work out maths problems.  His reading is also progressing so well and he is a delight to listen to.  You have made a great start to the year - you really are a star pupil.  Well done!

Finley - what a fantastic start Finley has made to the year!  The effort he puts into his work really is commendable and it is always beautifully presented.  He demonstrates a really mature attitude to everything we do and sets such a super example to the rest of the class.  Keep it up Finley!

Koray has every quality needed to be a star pupil!  He is an eager learner who quietly goes about learning what he needs to do but at the same time deepening his own learning by practising and taking note of the advice given which is shown in the work that he has produced at school and at home using google classroom.  Koray has grown in confidence over the last 8 weeks and his personality is beginning to shine in the classroom.  He is an excellent role model to his peers within our class and to other students at Woodside.

Ava has really began to come out of her shell towards the end of the half term and is always being noticed for her efforts and hard work each and every day.  She has become increasingly confident in her reading and is making great progress through the book bands, segmenting new words much more fluently and discussing texts really well.  She continues to practise her spellings daily with Mrs Wheller and puts in extra work at home to make sure she achieves a score to be proud of each Friday.  In class, Ava is becoming ever more present in class discussions now that she has found her feet and her answers are both insightful and unique.  To add to this Ava always listens in class and makes the right choices, setting a fantastic example to her peers each and every day.  Well done Ava on such a positive first half term.

What an amazing start you have made to the year.  In all that you do, you give 100% and your smile and enthusiasm lights up the room.  When things are challenging, you persevere or are not afraid to see support from an adult to help improve your understanding.  You have particularly impressed me with the ideas that you have for your writing and it is always a pleasure to read your work.  Keep shining brightly Lila!

Jenny has returned to school with confidence and positivity.  She always gives 100% in everything we do and works hard to make her work the best that it can be.  It has been great to see her contributing more to class discussions, sharing her mature and thoughtful ideas on subjects and making links to help others develop their understanding.  In addition to this fabulous work ethic, Jenny's sense of humour and realism; thoughtfulness and kindness make her a real asset to our team.  Keep working hard Jen - well done.
